Nina Ricci, after working for many years for others as a designer, at the age of 50, established her own company in 1932 in Paris with her son Robert.
While most doubted the recovery of the fashion industry after the Second World War, Nina Ricci proved them wrong. In cooperation with other designers a successful exhibit in the Louvre Museum revived interest in fashion.
From gowns and costumes, Nina Ricci house of fashion expanded its line to other areas of fashion. Before the Second World War came accessories such as scarves, glasses and jewelry. After the war Nina Ricci started creating fragrances in 1946. As for Antonio Ricci line you see on these pages, they are named after the renowned Italian TV personality.
